A group of women studying at the University of Colorado during the 1955-1956 school year occupy an apartment on 14th St. Inspired by a note of my great aunt’s, this slice-of-life style piece is a high-energy portrayal of a short moment of freedom for these "strange women". Exploring themes of friendship, sexuality, gender roles, intellectualism and ambition, this play is a gift to a group of people who were historically undermined, forgotten and oppressed.

When Nellie’s high school boyfriend, Erik, goes missing in the Northwoods of Minnesota in the middle of winter, she decides to take matters into her own hands. As a stand-up comic living in New York City, Nellie has no idea how to survive in the cold Northwoods. Luckily, or maybe unluckily, she convinces Mary Anne, Erik’s current girlfriend and a dog sledding guide, to help her look for him. The two women must overcome their differences and find Erik before they all freeze to death.

This production utilizes gymnastics to take us into the internal processes of a 29-year old woman after a one-night-stand as she spirals out of control.

Gorgeous
Based on a fictional (or is it) fan theory that the musician Taylor Swift and the supermodel Karlie Kloss had a secret relationship. Trapped in a beautiful suite in Big Sur California, Taylor isn’t sure if she’s dreaming, having a nightmare, or if the beautiful woman in her suite is the real Karlie Kloss or a phantom that haunts her in the middle of the night. Through poetry and mystique Gorgeous explores the emptiness bred by the expectations put on women even when they seemingly have the world at their fingertips. Their world doesn’t seem real.

Plowing Through
It’s the first big snow of the year on Christmas Eve in Minnesota. Janice Wilson is having the whole family (including her ex-husband) over for a traditional Christmas dinner. When unexpected guests arrive, everyone gets snowed in overnight. Issues swept under the rug for years resurface. Ending with her daughter’s engagement, Janice Wilson is finally able to move on from her messy divorce. Plowing Through is full of laughs, family moments, lutefisk, and midwestern humor.

While Stalling continually will make you laugh, it will also emphasize the internal conflict that everyone faces as they find themselves evolving in New York City. Stalling tackles sexual health, queerness, traditional family values, health care, academic expectations and so much more as the vastly opposing characters tumble messily through their affairs.

Falling
Michelle and Brenda are former lovers and climbing partners. And, after three years of separation, the two are back and climbing in St. George, Utah. At the same time a journalist named Alex is writing an article on the city for the Tourism Bureau of Utah. When he meets the two women, he is absolutely enthralled by what they are doing. Things go awry when Michelle and Brenda's past gets in their way and Michelle takes a big fall while climbing, and Brenda isn't able to catch her.
